T. Dan Chesire began designing light shows in 1998 in his hometown of Chicago. He has toured with the continent with a variety of musical acts including Patti LaBelle, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Babyface, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, The OJays, Van Morrison, Steve Miller Band, and more.

In 2004, Dan relocated to the Los Angeles area where he has since focused on lighting for the trade show industry as well as special events, while keeping a leg in concert production. In 2018 Dan formed Deep Blue Lighting LLC to best serve his growing client base and remains a top-of-the-field lighting designer and programmer.
